How to get a Non encumbrance certificate?

1- Get a form from your city’s tehsildar office. Fill it properly.
2- Get a Rs.2 non-judicial stamp with application form.
3- Attest your adress certificate along with the application explaining the reason why you want this certificate and attest it with the form.
4- Make sure that all of the details of the property are correct. Details such as survey number, location and some other details needs to be correct.
5- The charge for this form would be depending of the duration that you want this certificate. However, the certificate is issued in the regional language and if you want it to be printed in any other language then you will have to pay some extra.
6- The certificate will be issued for the time period from April 1 of the starting year to March 31 of the ending year.
7- The application form is required to be submitted to the sub registrar office.
8- Once you have filled and submitted the form you will receive the non-encumbrance certificate within 20-30 days.
Can you get an online copy of Non encumbrance certificate?
The online or computerized copy of NEC certificate are only available in seven states of India. The states are Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Orissa, Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu. Other than these states you have to apply for the hardcopy of the certificate.
